The handbook was officially launched at an evening event in March 2007 at Luton 6th Form College, to which parents, teachers and education professional were invited.Representatives of schools were given copies of the handbook, as well as the educational packs that were distributed along with it to take back to their schools.

Speeches were made by Dr Nazia Khanum, Kevin Crompton and Lord Nazir Ahmed. Fozia Irfan the chair of the MEF spoke about past projects and plans for the future. Shahana Khundmir, project coordinator for the Handbook spoke about the timeline for the handbook, and plans for its distribution.
