The MEF aims to provide a representative voice for Muslim parents in Luton. We believe it is important for every parent to be aware of and understand the education system, in order to help and aid their child’s education in the best way possible. We therefore seek to encourage Muslim parents to get actively involved in the education of their child and become governors, teaching assistants or just contribute actively to their local school.


It is only through the participation and joint partnership of schools, parents and the educational bodies that we will collectively be able to change the academic achievements of children. We hope to provide parents with support and guidance in relation to educational issues and on 22 March 2007 we published a Muslim Parents Handbook listing educational resources and other useful information.
